Support Saskatchewan’s T1D Community: Write to your candidates

Universal access to type 1 diabetes (T1D) technology, like advanced glucose monitors, has been proven to ease the burdens of the disease, improve health outcomes, and reduce overall healthcare costs. Recognizing these benefits, provinces and territories across Canada have made significant progress in recent years to introduce or expand public access to diabetes technology.

In Saskatchewan however, only those under the age of 18 are publicly covered for continuous glucose monitors and flash glucose monitors.

That is why JDRF is advocating for the removal of the age cap for these devices and expand access to all ages in this year’s upcoming election. Support us and Saskatchewan’s T1D community by writing to your local candidates and sharing with them the importance of diabetes technology and the urgent need to make them publicly accessible!
